About the motive

Lysekil, a town with its own special profile, is easily recognizable when arriving by boat from the south. The city received city rights in 1903 and went from been a place where agriculture, fishing and shipping were carried out to becoming an industrial city with many industries including canneries, stone quarries and ship engines. The tug Harry can be seen at the quay, which is incidentally powered by a Skandia engine manufactured in Lysekil.

There is also a cold bath house dating from the 19th century.
